Personal Philosophy

The word  comfort comes from two Latin words meaning “with strength.”  To be comforted is truly to be given the strength to meet any situation.  I am dedicated to providing comfort within a safe and confidential environment that will allow my clients to find the best in themselves and take the action they need to live each day fully.  There is no single pathway to healing and growth and every person has his or her own learning style and pace.  I work with my clients to tailor a personal plan that matches their individual needs.

My approach to addiction, while grounded on these same principles, is more directive in nature. I educate and guide the individual and the family through a tried-and-true, sequential process of recovery for the whole family.  As with any complex disease, treatment for addiction requires a holistic approach addressing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of a person.  This is an uplifting process based on a repeatedly proven, simple premise:  the very illness that created so much heartache has the capacity to create just as much joy and abundance.

May you live all the days of your life.
     - Jonathan Swift

Each problem has hidden in it an opportunity so powerful that it literally dwarfs the problem. The greatest success stories were created by people who recognized a problem and turned it into an opportunity... Out of clutter, find simplicity. From discord, find harmony.
